A few days ago, #Traffickinghub protestors gathered in front of Pornhub offices in Los Angeles, Montreal, and London to speak out against Pornhub for enabling and profiting from rape and sex trafficking crime scene videos.

At the Los Angeles protest, we were honored to have a young trafficking survivor join us and share her story publicly for the first time ever.

She had seen our posts on social media announcing the protest and drove for hours just to be part of it.

Amy* was a victim of the Pornhub partner channel GirsDoPorn trafficking scheme, in which the company lured young women with false promises of becoming a (fully-clothed) model.

These girls were transported by plane and isolated, then coerced and defrauded into shooting pornography after being threatened with having to pay back expensive transportation costs if they didn’t comply.

Pornhub partnered with the GirlsDoPorn sex trafficking operation for nearly 10 years as the videos of these women’s exploitation gained a cumulative 600 million views. 800,000 Pornhub users subscribed to the sex trafficking channel.

To make matters worse these girls were doxxed on the site, meaning their private information was posted publicly online so that people could identify and harass them.

The videos were also sent to victims’ friends, families, and social circles.

In this video, Amy shares about her horrifying experience. We are incredibly grateful for her brave voice, which is awakening people to the grave injustices that Pornhub perpetuates and profits from.

In this fight, there is nothing more powerful than the testimony of survivors. Share her video and let’s keep elevating these voices until the whole world knows the truth about Pornhub. And until the whole world joins with us to shout “Shut. It. Down.”

To help fuel the fight to shut down Pornhub and to practically support survivors on their healing journey you can give at traffickinghub.com/donate.

Until we prevail,
