New “Cool Food Meals” Badge Hits US Menus, Letting Diners Act on Climate Change

WRI has announced a new certification to help consumers identify climate-friendly menu items, whether dining out or ordering in. The new “Cool Food Meals” badge identifies dishes with a carbon footprint in line with the Paris Agreement on climate change. Panera Bread is the first to showcase the new badge. Says WRI President and CEO Andrew Steer, "As kids, we were always told to eat our vegetables – and now there’s another reason to do so.”
