I wanted to reach out to you personally because we’re at a critical point in this race. With just under three weeks until the final votes are cast, and just 12 hours until the final FEC deadline of this election, the time has come for people to get off the sidelines.

I’m a lifelong songwriter, performer, and advocate -- not a politician. But it doesn't take someone actually running for office to know that this election is different than any in recent memory. That’s exactly why I’m enthusiastically supporting Joe Biden and Democrats down the ballot in November. But we’re running out of time to make an impact on critical races everywhere, which is why I’m coming to you today with an ask, John.

If you possibly can, will you make a $7 donation to the DNC before tonight's final FEC deadline of the election? I know you’re committed to our party’s success in November, and Democratic candidates from the top of the ticket to the bottom are depending on an outpouring of support from people like you and me.

I don’t need to convince you that this administration has failed us at every turn, but electing Joe Biden alone won’t fix the problem. We need Democratic majorities in the House and the Senate, and there’s so little time remaining for us to invest meaningfully in those down-ballot races. From Colorado to Maine to North Carolina, Democratic candidates have a real shot at winning tough races -- but they need our support now.

So, John, I have to ask again: Will you join me in supporting Democrats by making a $7 contribution to the DNC before the last FEC deadline of this election?
