Hi John,
I get to do my
favorite part of my job today, and if you've been following along these past few years, you know what that means…
It’s time to announce another slate of endorsements, our last before the 2020 election (finally!!!) ends!
This month, I am so proud to introduce you to 37 young, driven progressive candidates fighting for a kinder, more equitable nation.
With only a few more weeks until Election Day, there is no better time to
learn about our amazing October class of candidates and then
contribute what you can to help them win.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
This class exemplifies the spirit of Run for Something -- with the hope, passion, and work ethic to create sustainable, permanent progressive power in our communities.
Here are just a few facts about our October class, which includes 32 candidates running in 2020 and 5 running in 2021:
- Of the 37 candidates, 47% are women, 32% are LGBTQIA+, and 61% are BIPOC.
-
25 states are represented.
- We have 10 RFS alumni running (including 5 alumni who are running in 2021!)
- Of the races our candidates are competing in, 16% are for education (State Board, Board of Education, etc.), 34% are state legislative (House, Assembly, Senate), 47% are municipal (Mayor, City Council, County Council, etc.), and 3% are legal (District Attorney, Judge, Sheriff, etc.)
And 100% of them are determined to make a difference in the lives of the people they'll represent.
With this slate of exceptional candidates in office, we will secure tangible progress in our government.
But our endorsement alone won’t bring them to victory -- they are counting on your support to go the distance.
So please, chip in $5 or whatever you can today to keep up the momentum for our young progressive candidates in competitive races across the country.
Thank you,
Amanda Litman
