In just a moment, I am going to ask you to chip in $10 or more to our campaign for U.S. Senate before tonight’s critical FEC deadline. But first, I hope you will give me a minute or two to explain why your donation matters so much, especially today.
At midnight tonight, we will close the books on our fundraising so far this month, and shortly after, we will report those numbers to the Federal Election Commission. Then, our fundraising numbers will be made public for everyone to see for the last time before Election Day.
So, when I say this is the most important deadline we have ever faced, I’m really not exaggerating. The amount of money we are able to raise before midnight tonight may be the last number Mississippi voters see before heading to the polls.
This critical test for our campaign comes after the huge surge in grassroots support we’ve seen in recent weeks. Our race was upgraded from “Safe Republican” to “Lean Republican” and recent polls show us just a single point behind Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith.
For months, our campaign was overlooked and counted out. Well, just like Mississippi, the state of our campaign has changed. It’s looking more likely than ever that we can make history on November 3.
But reporting weak numbers to the FEC tonight could change all of that in an instant. Everyone from Cindy Hyde-Smith to Mitch McConnell will see our fundraising numbers.
I know in my heart that we can win this thing. But it’s going to take each and every one of us working hand in hand to make that happen in these final three weeks. That’s why I’m asking:
Will you chip in $10 or anything you can before midnight to help us prove we have what it takes to win in November? Your donation has a direct and immediate impact on funding our Get Out the Vote efforts, purchasing PPE for our volunteers and organizers, and keeping our TV ads on air — anything you can give makes a difference.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
We still have one hell of a fight ahead of us, but I believe we have what it takes to win next month and move Mississippi forward. With your help, we will.
Thanks for all you do.
