This week, we start to vote in Washington state.

Washington state has led the nation in vote-by-mail, so we're used to an election "season" versus an election "day." But with voting about to begin, we have to reach voters right now.

Luckily, my campaign ads went up recently on TV and online across the state. But now, we need the funds to keep them up on air: This is the final stretch, and my opponent, Loren Culp, went up last week with his first ad that is misleading about me and my record, while downplaying his extreme viewpoints and divisive rhetoric.

With an opponent like that, we can't predict what's going to come next -- we have to be prepared.
