I don’t want to freak you out, but I have to be brutally honest about the situation we’re facing right now.
The truth is, as of this morning, we’re projected to fall short on our 50,000 grassroots donations goal before midnight — which would plunge our budget into chaos with less than three weeks until Election Day.
This isn’t some goal we made up. It comes from our real projections and hard numbers that inform our budget and spending decisions. The thing is, we may have miscalculated.
People are already voting in this election. Ballots have already been mailed out. And Republicans are spending an outrageous amount of money attacking John and our campaign right now because they still think they can win this race.
That’s what makes this deadline so urgent.
Listen, I really don’t want to be forced to make any risky calls as we approach the closing weeks of this election. But I also want to do everything possible to flip this Senate seat and know we left it all on the field in November.
