Unique Challenges to Asylum Seekers During COVID-19

On March 20, 2020, the U.S. government announced that it would be partially sealing off the U.S./Mexico border in an effort to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. As a result, thousands of asylum seekers have been denied entry into the U.S., unable to access protection; thousands more already waiting in Mexico under the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP) have had their day in court indefinitely postponed. Join us as we speak with experts working with the most vulnerable populations to learn about the impact of these new policies and much more.
