Here’s Audrey’s baffling news: Rep. LaMalfa has made scheduling candidate
forums nearly impossible, and even refused to participate in the single forum
scheduled if the press were involved in assuring that issues from all across
the district were discussed.

But we have good news, too. Recent polling shows that we’re so close to
finally flipping the polls in Audrey’s favor! She’s within the margin of error
of LaMalfa. What we’re doing is WORKING!

I’m so excited to finally engage in one of the great traditions of our
democracy -- an open forum between my opponent and me answering questions
directly from voters.

But I’m also baffled by how difficult it was to get the Congressman to agree
to participate in this essential part of the election. While my team has been
working since June alongside nonpartisan groups to schedule 6-7 forums across
our expansive district, we have been deprived of that opportunity.

With an agreement nearly in place, Rep. LaMalfa refused to participate in this
event if local media representatives were present to also ask important
questions about the issues around this large district.

This is exactly why we need new leadership in the North State. Let’s finally
