John: you know my brother Carl DeMaio. His birthday is this Saturday and we’re planning a special surprise for him that I’m hoping you will help make happen.

As you know Carl is throwing everything he has into saving this Congressional seat and using it to lead the fight for California. He decided to forgo a birthday party and instead committed to a full schedule of campaign events Saturday, but what he doesn’t know is an event listed as a Champagne Brunch to thank volunteers is actually his surprise birthday party!

PS: You may not know about our childhood story and it explains why Carl is always such a fighter for what he believes is right. We lost our parents and were separated in childhood. From age 13 on, Carl had to take care of himself, but he always made sure my brother Chris and I were cared for as well. Carl has overcome so much adversity in life and has been an inspiration to us. That’s why we want to help him and surprise him on this important birthday. Please do whatever you can!
