Dear John,
As women who practice our faith, as well as the law, we recently signed a letter of support urging the prompt confirmation of Judge Amy Coney Barrett.
The letter, which was sent to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Ranking Member Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), details our support of Judge Barrett, who has “reached the height of our profession while remaining true to her calling.”
With Judge Barrett’s confirmation hearing now underway, we—the First Ladies of First Liberty—reject the notion that faith should disqualify women from serving at the highest level of government, and strongly support her nomination and urge her confirmation by the Senate.
In addition to signing this letter, you may have seen us on Fox News over this past weekend to help educate all Americans on why Judge Barrett deserves our unwavering support. Take a look:
Judge Barrett’s confirmation hearings will no doubt heat up this week, hearings which have previously focused on her personal faith.
We urge our First Ladies, and all of our supporters, to stand with us and sign our petition asking the Senate to confirm Judge Barrett to the U.S. Supreme Court without delay and without unconstitutional religious tests.
Additionally, we invite you to bookmark our “All In for Amy” page at AllinforAmy.com to keep up-to-date on the latest news, resources and information related to the hearings—including our recent national poll which reveals that 62% of Americans say: Judge Barrett’s faith is “off limits” during this week’s questioning.
Yes...the “dogma” lives loudly within us, too!
Gratefully,
Stephanie Taub, Senior Counsel Keisha Russell, Counsel Lea Patterson, Counsel First Liberty Institute
