I’m so excited to finally engage in one of the great traditions of our
democracy -- an open forum between my opponent and me answering questions
directly from voters.

But I’m also baffled by how difficult it was to get the Congressman to agree
to participate in this essential part of the election. While my team has been
working since June alongside nonpartisan groups to schedule 6-7 forums across
our expansive district, we have been deprived of that opportunity.

With an agreement nearly in place, Rep. LaMalfa refused to participate in this
event if local media representatives were present to also ask important
questions about the issues around this large district.

This is exactly why we need new leadership in the North State. Let’s finally
vote Rep. LaMalfa out of office -- help us continue our voter outreach by
donating $20 today!

I also have exciting news, friends. Recent polling shows Rep. LaMalfa and I
are virtually tied -- with our polling numbers coming out within the margin of
error of each other.

What we’re doing is working! But we can’t let up now, because every single
