One child laborer is one too many.

Dear Green American,

Child labor, deforestation, and pesticide exposure shouldn’t be ingredients in a chocolate bar. But after nearly 20 years of big chocolate companies promising to end child labor in cocoa, children are still illegally working to produce the cocoa that ends up in chocolate bars.

Tell the largest chocolate companies, including Nestlé, Hershey, and Godiva, to end child labor and deforestation in cocoa!

Chocolate is a $100 billion per year industry, but most cocoa farmers live on less than $1 per day, and the top cocoa producing countries, Ghana and the Ivory Coast, have lost most of their forests. This type of destruction isn’t sustainable – and threatens the livelihoods of future generations.

Big chocolate companies have been profiting off exploiting children and the planet for too long – enough is enough.

Sign the petition today demanding Nestlé, Hershey, Mars, Lindt, and others put an end to child labor, deforestation, and large-scale pesticide usage.

There are solutions out there, but those solutions need to be rapidly scaled – children shouldn’t have to wait another 20 years. Together, we can hold these companies accountable.

Thank you for all that you do,

Charlotte
