John,
Our team has been hard at work finalizing the details for Saturday’s #CountOnUs March in D.C. – and we’re so excited to share them with you.
We’re seeing and feeling the urgency and excitement, John. It’s the reason why there are over 380 events planned in all 50 states. It’s why nearly 10,000 people have RSVP-ed to join us in D.C., but we need more.
Together we can rise up in this critical moment to call for a stop to this illegitimate Supreme Court confirmation and the end to Trump’s reckless and corrupt presidency. We can also turn out millions of women to vote at our text-a-thon.
Where to go, and when:
Gather at Freedom Plaza at 11AM (1455 Pennsylvania Ave NW)
Rally will take place from 12-1PM
March kick-off at 1PM from Freedom Plaza
Text-a-thon at the National Mall from 3PM - 5PM to reach 5 million voters
For more information on COVID-19 safety, parking, and more visit: https://womensmarch.com/oct-17-dc-march
We’re taking COVID-19 protocols very seriously. Everyone is required to wear a mask, practice social distancing, and not travel to D.C. from states that are on the self quarantine list.
We will provide extra masks and hand sanitizer stations throughout the march. If you are feeling ill, please join our virtual text-bank instead.
Accessibility:
The accessibility meet up point is located at the ADA Tent at Freedom Plaza and an additional tent is located on the National Mall. Please reference the above maps for locations.
American Sign Language interpretation will be provided on the stage, with picture-in-picture and CART in English available on the jumbotrons. Spanish Translation will be available by calling into the following conference line: (720) 740-9755 Access code: 5457729.
ADA Vans will be available to bring those who require it along a modified march route. Every area where porta-potties are located will also have ADA accessible porta-potties.
Get involved:
This will be the last major political mobilization before the 2020 presidential election. This is our chance to show that our resistance has not faded – and that together we are counting on us to make sure that Trump is a one-term president.
Women are the majority of voters. We can decide the fate of our country and together we will.
See you on Saturday,
Women’s March Team
