John,
Our opponent, Lauren Witzke, is so extreme that the New York Times published a featured story on her dangerous rhetoric.
As the article detailed, when a small group of protesters called on the Delaware Republican Party to withdraw support from Witzke's campaign, she organized a counterprotest. Supporters chanted "Trump, Trump, Trump" and "K.K.K." while members of the Proud Boys stood watch, and a supporter and self-appointed security guard for the Witzke rally drew a firearm and aimed it at the protesters on the other side.
The New York Times article quotes Witzke as saying "Nationalist populism is the future...and that is what I am." Her message to moderates in the article and on social media is "It's me or Antifa."
Make no mistake, John, our opponent's beliefs are dangerous. She -- and many of her supporters -- are far-right extremists who embrace hatred and baseless conspiracy theories. We must fight back.
Please, rush a contribution to our campaign to help us send a strong message that our opponent's hateful and extreme politics have no place here.
Thank you,
Team Coons
