Here’s a little quiz, based on a must-read Hechinger Report ([link removed]) story this week: What is one of the ‘biggest, costliest and most time-consuming logjams in higher education?’ Honors are coming your way if you chose ‘transferring academic credits.’

At a time when the pandemic is upending education and prompting a flurry of students to transfer from one institution to another, our story describes how some colleges are eliminating barriers to transferring credits that have disproportionately hurt Black and Latino students.
