People for the American Way

Dear Supporter,

Efforts to suppress the Black vote have taken many forms throughout the years but one thing is clear: it has got to stop. From closing down polling stations in predominately Black areas to robocalls targeted towards Black Americans spewing misinformation about voting, the Black vote has always been a target to swing elections in favor of many political candidates

That’s why our nonpartisan affiliate People For the American Way Foundation is determined to ensure a fairer and more inclusive democracy by launching its newest initiative: Defend the Black Vote.

We’re asking you to join a host of volunteers from around the country to Defend the Black Vote and help achieve record Black voter turnout, through information and strategic mobilization, in states where voting rights are imperiled.

Voting ends in just 21 days! Sign up now to volunteer to reach voters with PFAWF’s easy-to-use text messaging platform and Defend the Black Vote!>>

This tragic pandemic has resulted in many hardships in all aspects of our lives. COVID-19 has disrupted traditional voter canvassing making remote techniques like texting more important than ever! PFAW Foundation's Defend the Black Vote campaign will utilize peer-to-peer texting to reach out to Black Americans helping them register to vote, determine their nearest polling station, providing information on early voting, and clearing up misinformation surrounding mail-in voting.

The Black vote in America has experienced sustained attacks for decades and we need to rise to the occasion to protect this important right! Within Defend the Black Vote, our team is dedicated to provide resources, deliver information to the Black community on voting, and counter the efforts used to disenfranchise Black voters. All we need is your help!

Help Defend the Black Vote by volunteering just a couple hours of your time>>

The election this year will be one of the most important elections of our lifetime. Let’s all make sure we are protecting this country, protecting our democracy and protecting each other!

In solidarity,

Amol, PFAW
