Friend,

We asked Alabamians to share what the Affordable Care Act means to them. The responses we received prove the stakes of this election are, for millions of Americans, literally life or death.

@BarbaraMcElroy: "I am deeply and personally grateful for the legal protection of the Affordable Care Act, following three brain surgeries, two years ago, that count as 'preexisting conditions' for health insurance. @DougJones will defend our right to medical coverage. #ALforACA #OneAlabama"

@msu2law: "I have Multiple Sclerosis. I take 13 medications a day, one of which retails $7,500+/mo. I have annual MRIs and see at least 3 different doctors regularly. Without the ACA, my entire paycheck wouldn't cover my treatment. #ALforACA #teamDougJones"

@joe_bigley: "#ALforACA I had to stop working because of failures in my kidneys and liver. I am in the hospital at least once every six months. I purchased insurance through the ACA. If the ACA and preexisting conditions are eliminated, I will probably die. I volunteer my time when I am OK"

These stories are what we’re fighting for, friend.

The stakes of this election are your health care.

If Doug Jones holds his seat, then we’re going to be able to stand against McConnell and Trump’s efforts to dismantle the Affordable Care Act.

When you pitch in to Doug’s campaign, your contribution goes toward helping the millions of Americans with stories just like these. Pitch in now >> [[link removed]]

The contrast is clear:

Doug Jones has always voted to protect our health care – to save the ACA, to expand Medicaid, to cut drug costs, and to equalize hospital care.

Tommy Tuberville supports the lawsuit that would repeal the ACA in the first weeks that he’s in office with nothing to replace it, leaving millions without protection in the middle of a pandemic.

Protecting our health care is going to come down to the wire, and every single vote matters. Now more than ever, Alabamians need Doug Jones. Americans need Doug Jones.
