October 13, 2020 John,
Election Day is only three weeks from today. Make sure that you have a plan to make your voice heard!
Ask yourself HOW do you plan to vote:
Ask yourself WHEN you plan to vote: Put it in your calendar today!
-
If voting in person:
-
Learn out where your polling location is. Your early voting location may be different than your location on November 3.
-
Confirm the hours of your polling place and your transportation plan.
-
Think about what you’ll need to bring to the polls, including your voter ID, a mask, and anything you may need in case there’s a line.
-
If voting by mail:
-
Did you request your ballot? When should it arrive?
-
Once you have your ballot, did you fill it out according to all the stated instructions? Use a pen of the proper color? Ensure you’ve completely filled in the circles next to your chosen candidate or ballot questions?
-
Did you sign all the proper locations and insert properly into any envelopes or privacy folders?
-
Where will you drop it off? Ballot drop-box? Mail box? At a voting location? What deadlines do you need to be aware of?
Asking yourself these questions may seem a little silly, but it will give you the piece of mind you need to know that you're going to be able to make your voice heard this election.
