As Chair of the House Judiciary Committee, I’ve been right in the mix of everything from impeachment to major civil rights and voting rights legislation. Good ideas die in the Senate or at the White House steps.
I’ll be frank: We’ve got to win big in 2020. We need a Democratic White House, Senate, and an EXPANDED Democratic and Progressive Caucus. The more progressives we elect, the bolder our agenda can be on existential issues from the coronavirus to climate change.
Our Democratic map is expanding. The PCCC and my friend Katie Porter just announced a Red to BOLD slate - 7 bold progressives who can flip Republican congressional seats in areas where Joe Biden needs to get out every vote. Michigan, Florida, Texas, Nebraska, and even rural upstate New York.
