Road to Victory: 22 Days Until Election Day!

Dear John,

With 22 days to go until Election Day, I wanted to take a moment to give you some updates on our campaign. We will send out a campaign newsletter every week, to make sure you're "in the know". I'm asking you to trust me with your vote, so the least I can do is make sure you know what I believe in and what my priorities are as your Congressman.

Last week, my opponent and I participated in two candidate forums hosted by the North County Chambers of Commerce and Pacific Ridge School, respectively. While they weren't the debates we wanted, we enjoyed the opportunity to hold Mike Levin accountable for his extreme positions. I've linked some highlights from the forums below:

Unlike Mike Levin who engaged in personal attacks and name calling, my comments were focused on the issues that matter to voters here in the 49th. I spoke about Congress' role in a quick Covid recovery, reducing drug prices, opposing efforts to hand our healthcare system over to the Federal government, passing term limits, and taking down the temperature in our political climate

When he wasn't criticizing the President or running away from his own extreme positions, Mike Levin spent his time arguing against term limits and claiming that Congress is working perfectly fine with the career politicians and hyper-partisanship we see now. Mike seemed to confuse activity (there sure is a lot of news coming from DC), with results (currently, Congress can't even agree on another round of Covid relief)! Shockingly, Mike also took credit for passing bills that he did not author! I'll be the first one to give credit where credit is due, but it is unacceptable for my opponent to mislead voters by taking credit for other Representatives' hard work. That alone should be disqualifying as a candidate for Congress.

Last but not least, the hypocrisy of my opponent was put on full display when I made the point that as a longtime "clean energy advocate", Mike Levin doesn't even have solar panels on his own home. Of course, he tried to blame others for his own personal failure, but the message remains clear- "do as I say, not as I do". Mike supports government mandates that would outlaw fossil fuels, yet he hasn't even taken steps to reduce his own carbon emissions! Shameful.
