Dear John,

Last week. CNN hosted a seven-hour Climate Town Hall where candidates had
to embrace their climate plans and answer tough questions on a national
stage — all thanks to our collective efforts. Thank you.

We built the momentum to make this happen — and now it’s up to us to use
it to move into the Global Climate Strike on September 20th.

Folks in the DC area have a unique opportunity to build momentum over the
next week towards the Climate Strike. Come by to one of these three
upcoming events — and bring your friends and loved ones. The wins are only
possible when we work as a collective!

 1. Local DC youth strikers will strike outside the White House on Friday,
September 13th with Greta Thunberg. [ [link removed] ]Come stand with the youth this
Friday — let’s make a stand against this administration’s
fossil-fueled agenda before the Climate Strike kicks off nationally.
 2. Amnesty International will be hosting a ceremony to honor youth
activists on Monday, September 16th — and we want to see you there!
[ [link removed] ]Grab a ticket now. Let’s uplift the young people making this
movement possible. We’ll be at 730 21st St. NW, DC 20052
 3. On Wednesday, September 18th, Our Children’s Trust, a group of youth
climate activists suing the US government to take climate action, will
be hosting a press conference. Meet us on the steps of the Supreme
Court. [ [link removed] ]Come on down to support these brave activists taking on our
federal government!

This is our opportunity to make a splash in DC ahead of the Global Climate
Strike. Let’s help the youth activists who have been in this struggle
since 2015 feel all the support possible at all these events.

Let’s take it to the streets,

Clarissa Brooks

P.S. Want to do more? It takes resources to fill the streets! [ [link removed] ]Help us
build the movement for climate justice by giving to 350 Action today.
