AP: California GOP says it owns unofficial ballot drop boxes

The GOP has gone too far.

The news on this is changing by the hour but here's what we know for sure: They're targeting our district by setting up unofficial -- read: illegal -- ballot drop boxes around CA-25 and two other competitive districts represented by Democrats.

Here's the message we need to get to CA-25 voters ASAP: Real ballot drop boxes look very different from the GOP fakes.

Secretary of State Padilla has already issued a memo clarifying that unofficial drop boxes are illegal and is looking further into the matter.

While that happens, we need to act fast to make sure voters know exactly how and where to safely return their ballots. Our voter protection efforts just got even more important, and we need the financial resources to keep them going.
