It’s just another day in Trumpworld, John.

After Hurricane Dorian ripped through the Bahamas, hundreds of survivors tried to flee the island on a ferry to the United States in search of safety.

But officials forced anyone who did not have a U.S. visa off the boat -- despite being told that all they would need is a passport.

And you know what Trump had to say?

Without a single shred of evidence whatsoever, he said that those fleeing the Bahamas could be “some very bad people and some very bad gang members and some very very bad drug dealers.”

Really? We both know what he meant by that.

I don’t know about you, John, but I’m sick of Trump’s racist dog whistles. I’m tired of him vilifying Black and Brown people as scapegoats to shore up his far-right base. I’m disgusted with his racist agenda that is literally killing people.

Hurricane Dorian caused untold damage to the Bahamas and killed at least 45 people (while the number of people missing remains unclear). Around 70,000 people have been left homeless. The government has said that the total death toll won’t be known for weeks or even months.

But Trump only cares about the people who fill his pockets with cash. He doesn’t care about the refugees fighting for their lives. He doesn’t care about the deaths on his hands.

It’s on us to end Trump’s reign of terror, John. And that means we have to do whatever it takes to vote him out in 2020. If you agree that Trump’s power must come to an end, donate $5 or more right now to help us kick him out of office.

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

What does it say about us if we turn away those in need?

In solidarity,
