Mail-in ballots are sitting on kitchen tables across California.

So are campaign mailers delivering last-minute pitches to undecided voters.

As a reminder, our opponent Jay Obernolte was caught sending out deceptive mailers to voters in our community. Nonpartisan watch dogs confirmed they contain “information he knows to be false” that they were sent to “deliberately deceive voters.”

Our next wave of mailers is going to be key: We need to both set the record straight and remind voters that, unlike Jay Obernolte, Chris will defend Medicare, stand up to pharmaceutical companies, and listen to the scientists:

In the legislature, Jay:

• Voted to cut $700 million from Social Security. He was also open to turning Medicare into a private voucher system.
• Took over $10,000 from oil interests.
• Sided with insurance companies to deny health care for up to 200,000 Californians.
