What makes a leader? For me, it’s not the position or title someone holds—if that were the case, the Mayor of South Bend wouldn’t have become a national name and history-making Presidential candidate.

No, leadership comes from standing strong on your values even when it's easy or expedient to compromise them. I was proud to accept the endorsement of Pete Buttigieg last month, because I know when he thinks about leadership he’s thinking about values like belonging and righting the wrongs of our nation’s past to build a better future for all.

Our campaign is excited to host Pete, along with our friend Cameron Webb, for a joint fundraiser focused on how we build that future together.
