John:
The pain from the pandemic is being felt at the local level, in our communities and in our households. There is no better time to support our communities by building support for the thing we all need in this pandemic and beyond: Medicare for All.
For the last 18 months, grassroots leaders around the country have been working to pass municipal resolutions in support of Medicare for All. The campaign has produced a winning formula that can be used by activists of all experience levels to pass resolutions in their communities.
On Wednesday, October 14, People’s Action and Public Citizen are teaming up to host a special training to bring new activists, organizers and community leaders up to speed.
Join us as we take that next step together at our Medicare for All Resolutions 101 Training Webinar on Wednesday, October 14 at 8 p.m. Eastern/ 5 p.m. PacificT.
We’ll share step-by-step guidance on how you can get started to organize for a local resolution in your city, town, or county.
Already 350 local efforts are underway in cities and towns in blue, red, and purple states.
During this nuts-and-bolts training, you’ll learn how you can add your voice to an effort that is underway near you or take the first step in getting an effort started.
R.S.V.P. now to get the details to join this important training webinar.
As we heard from Minneapolis Council Member Phillipe Cunningham during our recent town hall, local elected officials live among their constituents and know the pain and suffering wrought by our for-profit health care system.
Rep. Ayanna Pressley from MA powerfully concluded the town hall with this affirmation: “I will choose the discipline of hope over the ease of cynicism.”
Hope is indeed a discipline, especially in times like these.
Winning a local resolution in your community will help build the hope and power we’ll need as we work to transform our health care system and our country.
Join us for this important Medicare for All Resolutions 101 Training Webinar on Wednesday.
