When Sheriff Penzone first took over in 2016, MCSO was in
need of massive improvements. He inherited a mess left behind by
the Arpaio-Sheridan administration, and the Sheriff knew that we
needed to get things back on track.

That’s why he created the fugitive apprehension program. A
program that showed we had the courage to go after the most
dangerous criminals that were living among our community. The
team, which works hand in hand with the FBI, works to track down
the worst of the worst:

The most violent criminal offenders, including murderers,
rapists, robbers, and child abusers.

Since the start of the program, over 600 arrests have been
made, and our streets and our communities are safer for it. By
having the courage to go after these criminals, our families and
loved ones are better protected.
