It's been a little while since I talked to you about the Senate race in Michigan, and with less than a month to go until Election Day, I want to make sure we don't forget about this crucially important contest.

Let me start with the good news: Reports show that Senate Republicans are facing tougher odds when it comes to defending their Majority in the Senate.

But here's the bad news: Leader Mitch McConnell knows that Democrats must hold on to Michigan to flip the Senate. So like clockwork, a major GOP super PAC with ties to McConnell is making a late push in the state and pouring in $9 million in an attempt to unseat my friend Sen. Gary Peters and defend their Majority.

This is the latest special interest-fueled attack against Gary.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee and a super PAC connected to Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos' family have already spent millions of dollars in Michigan. And this is hardly the first time the McConnell-associated outside group has dumped money into Gary's race.

McConnell and Republicans know Michigan is essential to winning the Senate Majority, and right now, polls show the race is close.

Grassroots support can make a huge difference in a race as close as Gary's. If you can, split a contribution today →

We can't afford to lose Gary's leadership in the Senate.

While President Trump and McConnell are putting off desperately needed COVID-19 legislation until after the election, Gary is fighting to make sure Michiganders have the resources they need to get through the pandemic.

I can't stress the importance of Gary's race enough. Please -- if you can, split a contribution between his campaign and mine.

Mahalo,

Brian
