John,
After Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed away, thousands of Women’s Marchers gathered across the country in their communities to honor the life and legacy of the notorious RBG in over 7,000 vigils that were planned in less than 24 hours.
Together, we showed the world that this movement is committed to carrying on the fight for justice and equality that RBG led for so long.
We need this movement to show up again in full force today as the Senate kicks off their confirmation hearings for Trump’s illegitimate Supreme Court nomination. That’s why we’ve partnered with Demand Justice to honor the life of Justice Ginsburg tonight.
This special event will be hosted by Hillary Clinton and feature guest speakers like Nancy Pelosi, Stacey Abrams, Elizabeth Warren, Kirsten Gillibrand, Ayanna Pressley, and Miley Cyrus.
For the millions of women who marched with us from 2017 until now, Justice Ginsburg was a hero, an icon, and an inspiration.
Justice Ginsburg gave feminism a voice on the Supreme Court, and with her vision, leadership, and moral clarity, she transformed what was, and still is, possible for women in the United States. She gave all she could, with literally all she had.
It’s our turn to fight now. Tonight we will gather virtually, and on Saturday we will march by the thousands in the streets at over 363+ events in all 50 states.
As the Senate begins confirmation hearings today to fill RBG’s seat, we must channel her unstoppable determination and call on our senators to honor her dying wish that there be no confirmation before inauguration.
Tonight will be powerful and will no doubt inspire you to keep fighting. The next step in this fight is marching with us this Saturday, 10/17 to show the electoral power of women as we fight for Justice Ginsburg’s legacy. Click here to find a march near you.
We hope we’ll see you there tonight,
Women’s March
