Today is Indigenous People’s Day, and the People’s Action family is coming together for a special deep canvass phone bank and training to mark the day. During this evening’s phone bank, we’ll make calls to elect Tricia Zunker to Congress in Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District. If elected, Tricia will be the first indigenous person to serve from Wisconsin in Congress and the third indigenous congressperson in our nation’s history.
We’ll also be joined by our local partners at Progress North, and we will have a special grounding from one of our Native leaders.
If this is your first phone bank, don’t worry! At the beginning of each session, we train our phone bankers on our deep canvass method, which is proven to be 102 times more effective than typical presidential voter persuasion efforts. Our trainers will stay on Zoom with you to answer any questions you have in real time!
Remember: Trump won most of these battleground states by less than one percent, so your calls could be the activity that gets Trump out of the White House.
