According to recent data from FiveThirtyEight, Joe Biden has an 84% chance of winning the presidential election.

This seems like good news -- and it is. But it also means Democrats are at risk of resting on their laurels and staying home from the polls under the false pretense that their votes aren't important.

Make no mistake: Your vote matters. Trump has made it clear that he'll be reluctant to accept defeat, suggesting that the election is already "rigged" and that SCOTUS will need to make the final decision. The only way to get him out of the White House is for Joe Biden to win in a complete and utter landslide.

It's encouraging that over 4 million Americans have already voted. But we cannot, under any circumstances, take these statistics for granted. We cannot make the same mistake we did in 2016. Democratic voter turnout needs to be so high that Trump is washed away from Washington in a sea of blue.
