First and foremost, thank you to everyone from the NewDem family who stepped up to help with my campaign over the past few days. It means a lot.

It's peak election season , and that leads to a lot of talk about swing states and swing districts. I get it. But I was born and raised in Wisconsin, and I have to tell you: the Wisconsin I see described on national news doesn't look anything like the one I know and love.

People in Wisconsin, by and large, don't think of themselves as red team and blue team. They aren't defined by their politics or the antics in Washington.

They're farmers and teachers, civic leaders and devoted family members. People in Wisconsin help their friends and neighbors when they're in need. We're good stewards of the land and deeply committed to our communities, large and small.

We're nice people . The division we see play out on TV and in the rhetoric we hear from inside the White House just isn't who we are.

I've stood up for the people of my district since coming to Congress . I don't intend to stop now. We're going to win this race. Thank you -- sincerely -- for considering a contribution and being part of the team to win in Wisconsin.
