REGISTER TODAY Meet the Panelists: Ronald Haralson, Fire Captain, Los Angeles County Fire Department Captain Ron Haralson from the Los Angeles County Fire Department is currently a Public Information Officer (PIO). Captain Haralson has 28 years of fire service experience, which includes Wildland, Structure, EMS, Dispatch work. Michael Thomas, M.A., Associate Professor, Department of Technology, CSULA Mr. Thomas is an associate professor for the Department of Technology at CSULA and is also a Fire Technology Instructor at Los Angeles Community College. Mr. Thomas is a retired Battalion Chief from the Los Angeles Fire Department where he has experience in fire service and emergency management in South Los Angeles, Downtown, West Los Angeles, Hollywood and East Los Angeles. Zab Mosenifar, MD, FCCP, FACP, Cedars Sinai Medical Center Dr. Mosenifar is a Geri and Richard Brawerman professor of Medicine and Executive Vice chairman of Department of Medicine and Medical Director of Women’s Guild Lung Institute at Cedars Sinai Medical Center and David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He received his Medicine and Pulmonary training at New Jersey College of Medicine, University of Thomas Jefferson in Philadelphia and University of California in Los Angeles respectively. Dr. Mosenifar is one of the internationally recognized experts in treatment of Asthma, COPD and has authored more than 200 articles, reviews, book chapters, and abstracts. Miriam Andino, Preparedness Specialist, American Red Cross Los Angeles Region Miriam Andino graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a degree in Public Health and Spanish, then went on to complete an emergency management/preparedness internship at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Andino has been with the American Red Cross Los Angeles Region for two years, currently as the Preparedness Specialist and had the opportunity to help communities prepare and recover through Red Cross deployments for the Ridgecrest Earthquake, Hurricane Dorian, and local home and wildfires.
