Hello,

As you know, a few weeks ago I announced that I will not be running for Mayor in 2021. This challenging time led me to rethink how I can best be of service to our city, and I decided that it was not the right path for me at this moment.

But I also made it clear that this decision did not mean an end to my life of public service. I continue serving as Speaker of the City Council and working to improve the lives of all New Yorkers. I love this City with all my heart and I believe by working together, we will make New Yorker stronger than ever.
