The Capacity for Prevention Stipend provides an opportunity for community organizations to enhance capacity in their communities. These grants are intended to increase the number and quality of prevention strategies used in your community and to foster innovative approaches for promoting a prevention message. The focus of these stipends will be to address substance use, problem gambling, suicide, or other behavioral health prevention efforts.

The Capacity for Prevention Stipend is coordinated by Prevention Action Alliance and made possible with funding from the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.

A webinar to answer questions about the Capacity for Prevention Stipend will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The webinar is open to members of any community organization interested in applying, and program staff will be available during the webinar to answer any questions you may have about the stipend.

The first step in applying is to read the Request for Proposals. After you've read the RFP, you'll need to submit your application via SurveyMonkey and include your budget, signed assurances, and any other appropriate documentation. A budget template and unsigned copy of the assurances can be downloaded from the Capacity for Prevention webpage.
