Friend -- we all knew that Donald Trump's border wall was a wasteful mess. But now, it's actively undermining our national security.

Earlier this year, Congress rightly refused to give Donald Trump the funds to build his wasteful border wall. But he's moving forward anyway -- by cutting money from critical military projects.

Over 100 projects, including schools, training facilities, needed infrastructure updates and many other overdue safety and defense improvements, are seeing cuts of $3.6 billion -- all in order to build the wall.

They've even targeted Washington state, taking $89 million from a project at Naval Base Kitsap -- cuts that will harm the economies of local communities.

We must speak out about this. We can't allow the president's misguided vanity project to undermine the necessary work that makes our country safer. I'm calling out this latest move -- but I need to know that you're joining me.

The Senate and House both rejected Donald Trump's emergency declaration. But that hasn't stopped him from undermining these vital military construction projects.

It's not just national security that's at stake. Jobs, economic growth, and the local communities that are counting on these projects will suffer from this decision.

Donald Trump has claimed over and over again that Americans won't have to pay for his wasteful border wall. But as he raids legitimate defense projects at the expense of the American taxpayer and our men and women in uniform, it's clear that is not the case.
