More exclusive polling shows well over half of people say they will spend less time shopping and socialising in the high street – largely because of COVID. Less than one in ten Brits say they will spend more in high streets shops. 



A weaker pound, taxes on trade and more paperwork will undercut independent high street businesses. Smaller businesses lack cash reserves to make it through a second lockdown on top of a no deal exit. Communities around the country face job losses and deprivation.
