John -- October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Meanwhile, the Violence Against Women Act - which expired in 2018 - is one of 300+ bills sitting in Mitch McConnell’s graveyard. And our incumbent senator, Shelley Moore Capito - who votes with McConnell and Trump more than 90% of the time - is letting this bill die. Like everything else, Capito talks a big talk when it comes to supporting women, but she never stands up for them.
Women and the most vulnerable in our society need a TRUE advocate in the Senate. Chip in $10, $15, $20, or whatever you can NOW to make that happen.
It’s time to put an end to the neglectful, do-nothing “leadership” of people like Capito and McConnell, who go out of their way to let legislation that is good for everyday Americans die on the floor of the Senate.
I’m running for Senate because the people need a true leader - a leader with passion, a leader of action. Help our people-focused campaign reach every voter possible in these last few critical weeks.
Leadership is an honor and a privilege, but Capito and her cronies use their power to help themselves and the corporations that line their pockets rather than for the people who really need it - like victims of domestic violence. How can we continue to let her stay in office when it’s clear she doesn’t care about the things that really matter?
We need a senator who actually cares. Can we count on you to help us flip the Senate and elect a leader who actually leads?
Thank you for standing with me,
Paula Jean
