This is shameful and appalling, John: At the last debate, President Trump REFUSED to denounce white supremacists multiple times — and he even alluded to calling on white supremacist groups to incite violence.
But Trump’s actions aren’t surprising — they’re part of a dangerous pattern he’s reinforced since before he was elected.
Hate and bigotry should never be armed — and a president should never empower white supremacist violence. But President Trump has refused to close loopholes that allow white supremacists to obtain assault weapons — even as gun sales surge and hate-motivated violence unfolds across our country.
That’s why Brady is fighting back — because white supremacist violence is a threat to all of us and we need action. But our live petition is closing at midnight tonight — and we need to know if you’re with us in this critical fight, John:

In the face of right-wing, white supremacist gun violence, Trump and his allies have stayed noticeably silent — or worse, stood by violent extremists.
Trump and his base have celebrated and martyred the 17-year old gunman who murdered two people protesting the shooting of a Black man in Kenosha, Wisconsin. And before that, in Charlottesville, Virginia — where a white supremacist killed a woman protesting for racial justice — Trump said there were “fine people on both sides.” And just this week, white supremacist groups emboldened by President Trump plotted to kidnap Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer. The honest truth is that given every opportunity to denounce white supremacists and take action to prevent violence, Trump has either refused or stoked the flames of violence.

That’s why we need top supporters like you to join us in speaking out against white supremacist violence. But we’re still 11 responses short of our signature goal in your area and your name is missing. We can only keep this petition open until midnight, so please, John:
