Dear Jack,

I hope you and your family are doing well during these tough times. I'm sending weekly Bulletins so that you have all the latest updates you need.

Voting Updates

Early voting has been going very smoothly in Virginia since its start a few weeks ago. As of October 10th, Virginians have cast 531,942 ballots in person at early voting locations, and have returned 441,552 mail-in ballots. An additional 642,890 absentee ballots have been requested via mail. A few voting reminders:

- The LAST DAY to register to vote before the November election is TUESDAY, OCTOBER 13TH. You can register online here.

- If you do not feel that you can safely get a witness to sign your ballot, you can leave the witness signature blank. Your vote will still be counted without the witness signature.

- If you have requested an absentee ballot by mail, but changed your mind and decided to vote in person, you must bring your unopened absentee ballot with you.

- Loudoun County voters: Additional early voting locations will be opening on Saturday, October 17th.

Indigenous Peoples' Day

Governor Northam has issued a proclamation that tomorrow, Monday October 12th, will be Virginia's first celebration of Indigenous Peoples' Day. We will take this opportunity to celebrate the eleven state-recognized Indian tribes of Virginia, and commit to uplift the cultures, traditions, and people of our native communities. You can read Governor Northam's proclamation here.
