I’ll never forget the day the news broke that we had won the election back in 2018. Darrell Issa was never available for his constituents, so right from the start I made a pledge to host a town hall every month that I serve in Congress.
I’m proud to report that I stuck to my word. Even as COVID-19 made in-person gatherings impossible, we transitioned to weekly online town halls.
We don’t believe in trying to reach voters at the last minute before an election. Instead, we’re constantly in communication about local priorities and the work I’m doing in Washington on our community’s behalf.
Even though COVID-19 altered how we’re running this campaign, I haven’t lost sight of the mission of engaging voters and being transparent about our work in Congress.
