Friends,

Trump refused to condemn white supremacy at the first presidential debate, instead telling the Proud Boys to “stand back and stand by.”

But who are the Proud Boys? The Washington Post tells us this of the all-male group: “Created in 2016 by a former Vice magazine co-founder, the group has become a fixture at political demonstrations around the country, often showing up wielding batons, bear mace and guns, ready to do battle with their perceived enemies in the far-left antifa movement.” And now, the Proud Boys are poised and ready to answer Trump’s call.

Calling right-wing extremists to action seems to be just another item on Trump’s White Supremacist Agenda -- and at this point, we shouldn’t even be surprised. This summer, he called NYC’s Black Lives Matter street painting a “symbol of hate.” Back in 2017, he said there were “very fine people on both sides” of the violent neo-Nazi rally in Charlottesville.

Going four more years with a neo-Nazi sympathizer in the White House is not an option. The team at ASPIRE is doing everything we can to elect women and candidates of color, protect the House majority, take back the Senate, and beat Donald Trump in November. We’ve already cut checks to dozens of Congressional candidates this election cycle -- all progressive champions who will fight to advance racial justice, promote equality under the law, and protect our democracy from the forces that threaten it.

But Trump isn’t going to leave office without a fight, and if we don’t win, we can expect him to continue to give a platform to white supremacy and racism in his next term. He’s already given us a sneak peek of his plans by passing an executive order banning the government and federal contractors from conducting racial sensitivity trainings and discussing critical race theory. (Why? You guessed it -- “because it’s racist.”)

We can’t compete against that kind of evil if we’re not at our strongest -- and right now we’re running low on funds. If we don’t raise another $3,018 before midnight, we’re going to have to scale back our funding for women and candidates of color who are committed to weeding out white supremacy from Washington.

We know it’s important to you to see Trump and his Proud Boys nationwide out of power. With less than a month before Election Day, we have no time to waste. Help us by donating whatever you can contribute, right now, so that we can get this racist out of the White House on Nov 3. >> [link removed]
