John, I believe respecting people begins first with telling them the truth. That's why I hope you'll lend me a moment to speak honestly and candidly with you about what needs to get done in these final few weeks, and then split your first $10 contribution between our Biden-Harris campaign and the DNC to support Democrats nationwide before Wednesday -- the final FEC deadline of this election.
These next three-and-a-half weeks will decide the fate of this election -- not only for Joe Biden and me, but also for Democrats running to flip the Senate, hold the House, and win seats down the ballot in every state. And with more on the line than in any election in recent memory, we can't risk underfunding crucial get-out-the-vote programs and last-minute ad placements. Folks across the country are casting their ballots as you read this very email, John, so I mean it when I say that the time to give this race our all is right now. We can't risk coming up short ahead of this final FEC deadline, so I need to ask you personally, John:
Can you split your very first $10 donation between our campaign for the White House and the DNC before Wednesday at midnight? This late in the game, every single dollar makes an impact -- so even a modest gift today would mean so much.
I said this on the debate stage this week, but I think it bears repeating: We have it within our power to make a decision about the course of our country for the next four years. That means that each of us on this grassroots team has to organize our communities, talk directly to voters, and yes, chip in whenever we can afford it.
I could not be more grateful to be in this fight alongside Joe -- or alongside supporters like you, John. I know we can win this if we work together, so I'll ask just one more time today:
Please split your first $10 donation between our Biden-Harris campaign and the entire Democratic Party. This Wednesday marks the last time our party will report to the FEC before November 3, so any amount helps.
Yours,
Kamala
Kamala Harris
P.S. According to the team at the DNC, you haven’t split a donation between the Biden-Harris campaign and the Democratic Party, so I want to take this moment to stress how crucial your support is in this moment. All we’ve been able to accomplish thus far is thanks in no small part to this grassroots team, which is why I have to ask one more time: Please, John, will you split your first $10 donation between our campaign and the DNC before Wednesday's FEC deadline? I wouldn’t be asking if your contribution weren’t so important to the success of Democrats up and down the ballot.
