Old Market Square
Grab your bucket and spade! Nottingham’s famous Beach in Old Market Square will open Friday for the people of Nottingham and visitors to the city to enjoy this summer.
Nottingham Beach is bigger and better than ever before with more sand (120 tonnes) and even more entertainment.
Look forward to traditional rides and attractions, a beach barbecue and bar and an entertainment schedule packed full of live music from local bands and artists.
There will also be movie nights under the stars, beach volleyball tournaments and Just Ben hosting Variety on the Beach. As always, the Beach is open to everyone throughout the school holidays.
Playa Day - Brand new this year, is the Playa Day Club and Restaurant which will be for over 18s only. Soak up the sun on pool-side day beds and deluxe pool pods, normally seen gracing the sandy shores of the Mediterranean; whilst sipping a summery cocktail and enjoying live music and entertainment. With indoor and outdoor seating, it is perfect for after-work drinks and sharing platters.

Open Air Cinema
Wollaton Hall Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 July
Visit Wollaton Hall this weekend for a great pair of films shown on the giant screen under the stars!. You can grab food, and snacks plus a drink at the bar and enjoy music before the films start. Bring a blanket or some camping chairs and enjoy! Gates open 7.30pm. The film starts shortly after sunset.
13 July - Mary Poppins Returns (U) -Â Decades after her original visit, the magical nanny returns to help the Banks siblings and Michael's children through a difficult time in their lives.

14 July - Grease (PG) - Join the T-Birds and Pink Ladies for the most successful movie musical of all time. First shown in 1978, it is the story of a wholesome exchange student (Olivia Newton-John) and a leather-clad Danny (John Travolta) and a summer romance, that will have to cross divides.Â

The Nature Valley Big Tennis Weekend is heading to Valley Road, offering a FREE day for all the family to get on court. There are Mini Tennis sessions, family time, free play and numerous other kind of activities to get involved in. Rackets and balls will be provided, so whether you’ve never picked up a racket before or you're a seasoned regular – there something for everyone

The East Midlands’ biggest free festival returns to the banks of the Trent, celebrating summer.
With the usual blend of live music, river-based activities (Check out the Dragon Boat Challenge),kids’ zone, massive funfair. There is also the Riverside highlight - the fireworks on Saturday evening.

Enjoy FREE dance activities with a broad range of dance sessions for all ages. The event timetable is designed so families with different aged children can come along together to take part in all the dance fun available.
