Dear John,
Donald Trump just made what may be the best decision of his presidency: today he fired John Bolton. We now have a major opening to push for peace and diplomacy and prevent a war with Iran.
When Bolton was first appointed as Trump's National Security Advisor a year and a half ago, we feared that war was all but inevitable. Bolton's agenda did nothing to advance American interests but instead led to the U.S. axing the Iran nuclear deal, pushing for a disastrous military conflict, and empowering fringe groups like the MEK.
Backed by the amazing NIAC community, we were able to do more than just block Bolton's march to war. You did everything in your power to make your opposition to Bolton and his destructive end game known. Our voices overpowered those of various agenda-driven groups who work on the margins to stoke conflict with Iran.
Now that Bolton's out, our community can finally begin to extinguish his manufactured fires. We are well-positioned to end the threat of war, to take on the sanctions crushing ordinary Iranians, and to make the language of peace and diplomacy a cornerstone of Washington's vocabulary once more.
To take full advantage of this opportunity, we need your support now more than ever. NIAC has made enormous strides in advancing our community's interests in Washington DC—and much of this is owed to you.
Can we count on you? Bolton’s firing reduces the chance of war but we need your help to continue advancing peace and diplomacy. Click here to chip in >>
Together, we can usher in a new era of peace and diplomacy, for the betterment of our community, our nation, and the entire world.
To Hopeful Days Ahead,
Jamal Abdi
President
