Hi John,

From USA Today: “Federal appeals court Judge Amy Coney Barrett was offered the nomination by President Donald Trump three days after Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s passing, according to a questionnaire by the nominee.”

Over a million Americans have already cast their ballots for the upcoming election. Yet Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell remain committed to ram through a Supreme Court nomination to appoint Amy Coney Barrett, a known anti-choice and anti-ACA candidate, before voters can have their say in who the next lifetime appointed Supreme Court justice should be.

We condemn the GOP’s blatant hypocrisy in bypassing their own precedent to fill this Supreme Court vacancy during an election year. But precedent and democracy stop being important to the GOP when they have the chance to destroy our health care, reproductive rights, and personal liberties.

But we are working with women candidates across the country to demand Mitch McConnell respect democratic precedent and wait until the next presidential term begins to vote on a Supreme Court nominee.

The stakes have never been higher, and we need to act fast to protect our democracy.

John, add your name now to our national petition demanding Mitch McConnell and his Republican Senate wait to hold a vote on the Supreme Court nominee. We refuse to stand by while Republicans threaten our health care, dismantle our reproductive rights, and destroy our democratic processes. If you agree that the next president should choose Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s successor, then please, add your name now. >> [link removed]

Thank you for standing with us today.
