Friend,

Earlier this month, the Republican Governor of Texas signed an executive order limiting the number of ballot drop-off sites to one per county (some counties in Texas are larger than the entire state of Rhode Island!). A federal judge just blocked the order, but Texas' embattled A.G., Ken Paxton, is likely to appeal. If he's successful, this move would require some Texans to drive across their county to deliver their votes.

Republicans are terrified that Democrats can win in Texas, so they're pulling out all the stops to crush our momentum. Will you rush a contribution today to help us fight their attacks?

"Republicans are on the verge of losing, so Governor Abbott is trying to adjust the rules last minute. Make no mistake, Democracy itself is on the ballot." -- Texas state Democratic Party Chairman Gilberto Hinojosa

Team, it's clear why the GOP is playing dirty: They know they're losing, and they're panicking. Here at the NDRC, we've identified Texas as one of 2020's biggest battleground states, and have joined a massive $1.23 million digital investment to flip the Texas state House. Now, in addition to suppressing voters, national Republicans have announced big investments in Texas, saying they are willing to spend "whatever it takes" to win.

We can fight back against their dark money and voter suppression, but we have to act now. Will you chip in today so we can flip the Texas state House and deliver a fatal blow to GOP gerrymandering in all of our target states?
