John–

I'm on Capitol Hill today with mayors, gun violence survivors, Moms Demand
Action volunteers, and bipartisan members of Congress. The Senate is back
from recess, and we're here to tell our lawmakers that we need gun safety
legislation now.

[ [link removed] ]DEMAND ACTION

In February, the U.S. House voted to pass critical gun safety measures,
including the Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2019. Now it's working
to advance a strong Red Flag bill, the Disarm Hate Act, and a bill to
prohibit high-capacity magazines. But the Senate still has not held a vote
on any gun safety legislation, even as our nation continues to endure mass
shootings and we continue to live through daily gun violence.

Our U.S. Representatives have acknowledged that the status quo is
unacceptable. It's past time for the Senate to do the same. [ [link removed] ]Demand the
Senate pass background checks on all gun sales and a strong Red Flag law
today.

Thank you for standing with us today as we fight for common-sense gun
safety legislation. The momentum for change is on our side.

Sincerely,

Kara Fitzgerald
