If exercising our civic duty of voting wasn’t so crucial to the fate of our democracy and the progress of our country, Trump and his cronies wouldn’t be working so hard to deceive, disempower, and disenfranchise voters.

Hi there, John—

During this week’s vice presidential debate, Mike Pence made his priorities abundantly clear. He wants to stack the Supreme Court with an anti-choice supermajority, overturn Roe v. Wade, chip away protections for the LGBTQ+ community, and embolden anti-choice extremists across the country.

Well here’s our priority: Ensuring that reproductive freedom is for every body — not just for a privileged few. To get there, we need to flip the Senate, grow the pro-choice majority in the House, and kick Donald Trump and Mike Pence out of the White House.

So please, even if you’re a registered voter, even if you vote every year, take a few moments to review the checklist below and make sure you have a complete plan to vote!

Request your mail-in ballot. You shouldn’t have to choose between staying healthy and exercising your right to vote. Voting by mail is a safe and convenient option that is available in every state (but it’s not your only option). If you choose to vote by mail, be sure to request your ballot as soon as possible.
Return your mail-in ballot. Don’t wait until the last minute! As soon as you fill out your ballot, make a plan to return it.
Forward this email to five friends or family members to make sure they’re ready to vote, too!

We have the power to decide what direction our country is going in. Your voice is needed in this election and every one one after. If exercising our civic duty of voting wasn’t so crucial to the fate of our democracy and the progress of our country, Trump and his cronies wouldn’t be working so hard to deceive, disempower, and disenfranchise voters.

I spent nearly half a decade fighting on the frontlines against voter suppression in my home state of Georgia — so I’ve seen firsthand how extremist Republicans like then-Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp steal elections by targeting Black and Latinx voters.

We can’t afford to sit out any election or allow ourselves and our communities to be forced out of the electoral process without a fight. Your voice matters.

Coretta Scott King said it best: “Freedom is never really won. You earn it and win it in every generation.”

Until victory,
